First glimpses of Hiunchili (6441m) - two Korean mountaineers got killed that day. It's an odd feeling seeing those choppers flying up the valley, knowing that this will most certainly not be a sight-seeing trip (which would put you back US$ 2500 for a spin), but a desperate attempt at saving souls. Somehow, memories of Oliver Stone's "Platoon" rose in me, of a heroicism gone bad and real. Weird thing, this mind.
